One Of Many First

This is one of my first forays into journalism. It's also my first sports article. The original date of this was March 5th 2015 at the beginning of the NFL off season a little more than a month after Super Bowl 49. It was trade that involved then Philadelphia Eagles Running Back LeSean McCoy and former Buffalo Bills Linebacker Kiko Alonso which had the football world buzzing. Read the article to see why this trade was a hot topic of discussion.

Eagles Trade LeSean McCoy to Bills for Kiko Alonso
Edwin Vereen (Eddy Kool)
March 5th 2015
In a move that caught most of the sports world (and me) off guard, The Philadelphia Eagles trade the All-Time leading rusher in the organizations history LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for Linebacker Kiko Alonso.
Alonso 24, has ties with current Eagles head Coach Chip Kelly during their time at Oregon Univ. where Alonso played under then Ducks coach Kelly form 2008-2012. In his rookie season in 2013 Alonso tallied 159 total tackles but due to a torn ACL was forced to miss this past season.
McCoy 26, is widely considered as on of the best the back in the game is the Eagles All Time Leading rusher compiling for 6792 yards and 44 Touchdowns in six seasons.
Here is the good and the bad out this trade (that cant’t officially go down until the NFL New Year March 10th at 4 PM)
The Good, Alonso can provide stability at the LB position, if he can stay healthy, McCoy can provide consistency to a once aging and oft injured Bills RB Corps.
The Bad, with speculating rumors  that McCoy was not happy about the trade, and could provide some off season drama of him not wanting to go to Buffalo, and if Kiko gets hurt again (which I pray he doesn’t) and if he is fully recovered from knee surgery. Will he be able to perform at at high level for Philly.
